Appearance Elegant and luminous in the glass, the wine shows a delicate pale salmon-pink hue with subtle copper reflections.
Aroma The nose is fresh, vibrant and delicately perfumed - A joy to sniff ! Aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry rise gently from the glass, complemented by subtle notes of rose petal and summer berries. A hint of citrus zest and a faint mineral lift add further freshness, reflecting the cool climate character of the Devon vineyards. If all you did was just inhale the aromas that would be enough !
Palate On the palate the wine is crisp, refreshing and beautifully poised. Juicy red berry flavours of strawberry and raspberry lead the way, supported by delicate notes of cranberry and pink grapefruit. The acidity is bright and lively, giving the wine energy and balance while enhancing the purity of the fruit. A perfex mix of character. Touches of minerality give the wine A gentle mineral finish leaves a gentle slap of summer berries in the mouth.
Food Pairing This rosé is wonderfully versatile at the table. It pairs beautifully with grilled prawns, smoked salmon or a fresh crab salad. Try it with tomato and burrata salad, charcuterie or light summer pasta dishes where the wine’s freshness lifts the flavours of the food. You get the idea. Perfect on its own.
Conclusion A refined and expressive English rosé that captures the elegance of Pinot Noir grown in a cool maritime climate. Fresh, vibrant and effortlessly drinkable, it is a perfect wine for relaxed summer dining or simply enjoying a glass overlooking the Dart Valley - or your garden in SW London
Great service, I ordered a bit late just before Xmas . But the wine was delivered promptly and was notified on the tracking of the order. Perfect thank you
I first tried no2 on a date at a fancy restaurant. Its was fantastic,so I thought I would buy a few bottles for home as wine and food always seem to taste better when you are either out or on holiday. Had a little gathering for my wife’s birthday and got asked on numerous occasions what it was they were drinking. Nobody could believe it was English and not French. Enough said.
