Trebbiano is a widely planted white grape variety, known as Ugni Blanc in France and key to Cognac production. In Italy, it's used in blends and regional wines like Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and Lugana. High-yielding and adaptable, it produces light, fresh wines with subtle character. The name encompasses several sub-varieties—such as Trebbiano Toscano and Trebbiano Spoletino—each with its own regional identity.
