Languedoc-Roussillon is a vast Mediterranean wine region in southern France known for its sunny climate, diverse soils, and steady winds like the Tramontane. Once associated with volume, it now produces increasingly high-quality wines across a range of styles. Key appellations include Corbières, Minervois, Faugères, and Pic Saint-Loup for reds; Limoux for sparkling and whites; and Picpoul de Pinet for crisp, coastal whites.
