GW says: Les Genoux 2019 is a testament to the rich terroir of Roussillon, France. Sourced from the estate's 4 hectares of vineyards near Maury, with vines aged over 100 years, this wine reflects the character of its rugged landscape. The 2019 vintage, matured for 15 months in 500L Seguin Moreau 'Icone' barrels, showcases a harmonious blend of Grenache Noir, Carignan, Grenache Gris, and Grenache Blanc. With an alcohol content of 14.25%, it offers a powerful yet balanced profile.  A rare, single-vineyard expression from Roussillon’s ancient vines.

Grapes: Grenache Noir, Carignan, Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc

Appearance: Paler than the regular cuvée, due to the inclusion of white and pink grapes.

Aroma: Complex and perfumed, featuring layers of raspberry, wild strawberry, rosemary, fennel, and hints of slatey minerals.

Palate: Initially soft, unveiling delicate red fruits like wild strawberries and red fruit pastilles, with gentle vanilla and subtle seasoned oak, culminating in a palate of surprising length and complexity.
