2020 Domain Drouhin Oregon Roserock Chardonnay USA
GW says: The 2017 Roserock Chardonnay is a confident expression of a fabulous vintage. On the nose and the palate, the wine is both inviting and intriguing. The aromatics range from classic white flowers to tart lemon meringue, with bright acidity and well-integrated oak. Made from carefully hand-picked grapes grown in the volcanic soil of Eola-Amity Hills in Oregon. Aged in French oak barrels, this Chardonnay has a distinctive aroma and taste that lingers long after the sip.
Grapes: 100% Chardonnay
Appearance: Pale golden in colour.
Aroma: A bouquet of bouquet of pear, lemon curd, honey, and vanilla. Lovely aromas of white tea, crushed herbs and citrus.
Palate: On the palate, it is creamy, layered, and well-balanced, with flavours of yellow apple, baked pear, and juicy peach, complemented by hints of spicy oak and minerality.
