2022 Rudi Pichler Riesling Kirchweg Smaragd Austria
2022 Rudi Pichler Riesling Kirchweg Smaragd Austria
GW says: Documented as early as 1050, this site in Wösendorf, at the foot of the Hochrain, is influenced by sediments and stony soils washed down from higher-situated vineyards, producing wines with a concentrated mineral texture and fine fruit-driven flavour.
Grapes: 100% Riesling
Appearance: Light golden yellow, silver reflections.
Aroma: Delicate yellow peach, mango and orange zest, subtle nuances of meadow herbs, mineral touch.
Palate: Firm, tight-knit, white tropical fruit, lively acidity, salty-calcareous structure, delicate spice on the finish, lime zest on the aftertaste, definite potential for ageing.
