GW says: This is a flagship producer from Anderson Valley. NW of San Francisco.  Historically Syrah was grown there  at the Savoy vineyard but replants of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are now well established.  Home is in Montecito – home to a famous royal couple – but here the vineyard has had less turbulent times – enough to leave the vines to flourish.

Grapes: 100% Chardonnay

Appearance: Lemon yellow

Aroma: Toasted honey apple and baked pears pinapple and melon.

Palate: Lightly toasted, cinnamon, almond nuts, caramalised lemon and crème fraiche.
