2021 Pisoni Lucia Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands USA

GW says: From one of my handful of favorites I tasted last year, a Pinot Noir from Pisoni's east-facing Lucia vineyard,  situated high up in the rugged Santa Lucia Highlands. 

Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir

Appearance: Deep garnet with a rich, concentrated core, showcasing the wine's density and aging potential.

Aroma: A layered bouquet of black cherry, crushed strawberry, sandalwood, clove, cedar, and sage, evolving with air to reveal baking spice and toasted vanilla.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied with ripe black raspberry and mulberry flavors, framed by polished tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant finish.
