2010 Champagne Drappier Grande Sendrée Brut Rose Millesime France

GW says: Grande Sendrée is names after numerous plots of land on the famed Kimmeridgian chalk - the same chalk formation that houses Chablis at its conclusion. A fire ravaged the area of Urville (NW France) in 1836. Due to a mistake in municipal admin, the area known as Cendree (cinders) changed to Sendree. Here an event caused more history in a bottle !  The Pinot Noir in the wine offers complexity and finesse while the small amount of chardonnay gives it that clean crisp and fresh experience to the rosé

Grapes: 92% Pinot Noir, 8% Chardonnay

Appearance: Salmon pink 

Aroma: The nose brings to mind white peach and pear but also more floral notes such as peony. 

Palate: On the palate a mineral Champagne, lightly biscuity, creamy, supple, seductive.
