NV Champagne Drappier Carte d'Or Brut France
NV Champagne Drappier Carte d'Or Brut France
GW says: Carte d’Or expresses the identity of the champagne house directed by the same family since 1808. Lots and lots of Pinot Noir in here so expect complexity and depth – Almost a full-on Blanc de Noir. Lots of Richness. A spiciness with a delicate touch of quince jelly. The wine shows malolactic fermentation- so witness a creaminess to the sparkle.
Grapes: 80% Pinot Noir, 15% Chardonnay, 5% Meunier
Appearance: Rich and golden.
Aroma: The taste begins with citrus stone fruits such as white vineyard peaches. Brioche.
Palate: A spicy note emerges in a powerful and complex mouthfeel. Smooth mousse.
