2018 Bride Valley Vineyard Brut Reserve England | Half case
2018 Bride Valley Vineyard Brut Reserve England | Half case
GW says: Vineyard founder Steven Spurrier had always wanted to make a Grand Cru Champagne- style wine, and the quality of the Pinot Noir grapes in the 2018 harvest allowed him to do so for the first time. This vintage is a move away from its predecessors into that Grand Cru style; the blend is now purely Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Grapes: 65% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay
Appearance:
Aroma: An elegantly floral nose of elderflower and blossom with soft layers of wild strawberries, mirabelles, fennel and crunchy white currants.
Palate: Crisp and elegantly refined with zingy gooseberry and minerality, stewed apple and a creamy mousse displaying hints of buttery brioche on the zesty lemon finish.
