NV Champagne Drappier Blanc de Blancs Signature France
NV Champagne Drappier Blanc de Blancs Signature France
GW says: Drappier is not a Champagne house to over complicate things. It tends to take a one step back attitude and let nature do its thing. Its Blanc de Blancs is only made from Chardonnay and a slight touch of Pinot Blanc (or Blanc Vrai) ) 5% of the wine is aged in barrel and lees ageing of 36 months allow the experience to be tantalisingly delicious. This allows the cuvee to have complexity and roundness. Good minerality.
Grapes: 95% Chardonnay, 5% Blanc Vrai
Appearance: Pale Gold
Aroma: The nose brings to mind white peach and pear but also more floral notes such as peony.
Palate: On the palate a mineral Champagne, lightly biscuity, creamy, supple, seductive.
