Only Available as part of a mixed case of 6 or more with Sandridge Barton
From the Devon vineyards of Sandridge Barton Wines, this Pinot Noir reflects the coolclimate of the Dart Valleyallowing finesse and aromatic charm to shine through.
Appearance Light ruby in colour. The wine shows clarity and elegance in the glass, its delicate hue hinting at the refined and nuanced character typical of cool-climate Pinot Noir.
Aroma The nose is fragrant and layered. Aromas of fresh red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry - typical for Pinot Noir. Touches of cranberry and redcurrant are also here with just a whisper ofearthy undertones. Look closer and you find dried herbs, soft spice and undergrowth characters that leave you wanting more. This is an undiscovered discovery.
Palate The palate is vibrant and beautifully balanced. Bright red berry flavours of cherry, strawberry and cranberry form the core, supported by smoothtannins and refreshing acidity that give the wine structure without overpowering its elegance. Subtle savoury nuances and a touch of spice develop towards the finish, leaving a lingering impression of fresh fruit and delicate earthiness.
Food Pairing This elegant Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with dishes that complement its finesse rather than overwhelm it. Roast duck, herb-crusted chickenor grilled salmonmake excellent partners. It also works beautifully with mushroom risotto or dishes featuring earthy ingredients such as roasted root vegetables and wild mushrooms.
Conclusion A refined expression of English Pinot Noir, capturing the freshness and purity of fruit that the Dart Valley can deliver. Elegant, expressive and quietly complex, it is a wine that rewards slow appreciation and thoughtful pairing at the table.
Great service, I ordered a bit late just before Xmas . But the wine was delivered promptly and was notified on the tracking of the order. Perfect thank you
I first tried no2 on a date at a fancy restaurant. Its was fantastic,so I thought I would buy a few bottles for home as wine and food always seem to taste better when you are either out or on holiday. Had a little gathering for my wife’s birthday and got asked on numerous occasions what it was they were drinking. Nobody could believe it was English and not French. Enough said.
