These prices are offered due to the highly competitive positioning of the wines and represent exceptional value within the range. They are available strictly on a case basis—either as 6 bottles of sparkling wine or 12 bottles of still wine — from Sandridge Barton. However, flexibility remains for larger purchases, and orders can still be placed as a mixed selection of 12 bottles or more.
Appearance Open the bottle and let the bubbles explode! Bright gold glow with a fine, persistent mousse.
Aroma The nose is a real treat—think apple strudel, baked pastry, and lemon rind. Because of the winemaking style and 20 months on the lees, you get wonderful notes of sultana and cinnamon. Wild floral notes and a touch of minerality. It’s complex, alluring, and definitely invites you in for a second sniff.
Palate On the palate, this is a "grown-up" sparkling wine. It’s bone dry (Extra Brut) with a precise 1.5 g/l dosage that keeps it linear and focused. The Pinot Gris (37% of the blend) adds a serious boost of depth and structure. Expect a soft, creamy texture with flavors of toasted spice, red apple, and bruised peach even almond. The acidity is keen and vibrant, leading to a long, savory finish that just keeps going
This vintage is an evolution. It’s a bit drier and "hipper" than the 2020, moving away from simple fruit into something more textural and food-friendly. With only 7,200 bottles made, it’s a small-batch gem that proves Devon is the "cool kid" of English wine right now - taking on essex !
Food Pairing This wine has the weight to stand up to more than just a light snack. While it’s perfect with fresh oysters or smoked salmon and poached eggs, it really shines with "bigger" foods. Try it with seaside fish and chips, mushroom risotto, or even roasted duck.
Great service, I ordered a bit late just before Xmas . But the wine was delivered promptly and was notified on the tracking of the order. Perfect thank you
I first tried no2 on a date at a fancy restaurant. Its was fantastic,so I thought I would buy a few bottles for home as wine and food always seem to taste better when you are either out or on holiday. Had a little gathering for my wife’s birthday and got asked on numerous occasions what it was they were drinking. Nobody could believe it was English and not French. Enough said.
