Radio-Coteau Wingtine Chardonnay 2020
Grape : 100% Chardonnay
A compelling expression from the Sonoma Coast, Wingtine captures the tension between coastal freshness and Burgundian-inspired texture — precise, layered and quietly powerful.
Appearance
Bright lemon-gold with subtle green highlights. Brilliant clarity with slow, defined tears that hint at concentration and careful élevage.
Aroma
Complex and refined. Aromas of white peach, ripe pear and Meyer lemon lead, followed by notes of nectarine and baked apple. Delicate hints of toasted almond, brioche and vanilla weave seamlessly through the fruit. A cool-climate mineral streak — wet stone and sea spray — provides lift, while a faint touch of flint adds sophistication.
Palate
Dry and beautifully structured. Vibrant acidity drives flavours of citrus zest, orchard fruit and subtle stone fruit richness. The mid-palate reveals a creamy, layered texture balanced by precise mineral tension. Oak is integrated and restrained, contributing gentle spice and toasted nuance without overshadowing purity. The finish is long, saline and focused, leaving impressions of lemon peel, almond and lingering coastal freshness.
Food Pairing
A versatile and gastronomic Chardonnay that pairs exceptionally well with:
-
Butter-poached lobster or crab
-
Seared scallops with beurre blanc
-
Roast chicken with tarragon
-
Wild mushroom risotto
-
Soft-rind cheeses such as Brie
Its combination of freshness and texture allows it to complement both delicate seafood and richer poultry or creamy dishes.
A poised Sonoma Coast Chardonnay — elegant, mineral and built for the table.
