Apostolos Thymiopoulos is the fearless flag-bearer of modern Greek wine, and the undisputed Grand Master of Xinomavro. He bottled the family’s grapes for the first time in 2005. His debut, Earth and Sky, is now a modern classic. Based in Naoussa, Northern Greece, he’s turned this once-overlooked region—and its famously grippy red grape—into one of Europe’s most exciting wine stories. From juicy, youthful reds to age-worthy, single-vineyard masterpieces, his wines deliver purity, energy, and soul in every sip.
