Hundred Hills Preamble No 2 2019 | Best price English sparkling wine
GW says:
"Hailing from the Oxfordshire Hundred Hills winery, ‘Preamble No.2 2019’ is an English Sparkling wine produced from a blend of 72% Pinot Noir (complexity and depth)and 28% Chardonnay (freshness and crispness). It spends 30 months on the lees and sees a dosage of 6g/l. It boasts a harmonious array of fruity and toasted notes, with a backbone of refreshing acidity balanced by the dosage. Beautifully ripe with an underlying, bright mouth-watering acidity and hints of almond patisserie. The chalky texture of this wine is almost satiny, leading to a long, persistent finish that captures a zesty, creamy tangerine note. This is a wine that captures in the glass all of the complex flavour’s and aromas"

Food Pairing
Food Pairing
Pair with pumpkin and squash dishes, due to the wines rich notes of nectarine and yellow plum which hold up perfectly to roasted squash, with the aromas of blood orange cutting through the sweetness. Also roast goats cheese with pumpkin.

I first tried no2 on a date at a fancy restaurant. Its was fantastic,so I thought I would buy a few bottles for home as wine and food always seem to taste better when you are either out or on holiday. Had a little gathering for my wife’s birthday and got asked on numerous occasions what it was they were drinking. Nobody could believe it was English and not French. Enough said.
