GW says: The Carret family has lived in the commune of Vaux en Beaujolais (Clochemerle) for several generations. Jean-Claude Carret’s ancestors had farmed the estate on a mixed farming basis when in the 1970s, his father decided to devote himself exclusively to growing vines. Two-thirds of the estate is now considered old vines (over 40 years old).

Appearance: Brilliant garnet-red color.
Aroma: Extraordinary fruitiness with aromas of red and black berries.
Palate: Full-bodied, generous and fleshy, with present, well-coated tannins and a persistent, smooth finish.
